Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children with autism and related developmental disabilities.
  • Work 1:1 or in small group settings.
  • Implement treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA and prepare program materials; treatment protocols that include a wide variety of domains such as toilet training, communication, social and adaptive living skills.
  • Collect and maintain accurate data. Communicate effectively with the BCBA regarding client’s progress.
  • Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with team members from other disciplines.
  • Attend and participate in weekly staff and team meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, Licensing Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Psychology or Child and Family Studies
  • Pass the Registered Behavior Technician course and test
