Job Summary
Supported Behaviors LLC is seeking skilled and compassionate BCBAs and BCaBAs to provide behavior support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities under the Texas Medicaid Waiver programs (CLASS and HCS). The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, ethical integrity, and an ability to design and supervise evidence-based interventions that promote client independence, safety, and meaningful life outcomes.
This position involves traveling to client homes and community settings across the Houston area, with some sessions conducted via Telehealth as appropriate and authorized.
Clinical & Supervisory Duties
- Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBA) and develop individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSP) in accordance with CLASS and HCS program requirements.
- Ensure all plans adhere to the Texas Administrative Code, HHSC/DBMD guidelines, and Medicaid documentation standards.
- Provide supervision, training, and performance feedback to direct care staff implementing BSPs.
- Conduct observations and data reviews to monitor treatment fidelity and client progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including service coordinators, nursing staff, families, and habilitation providers.
- Participate in quarterly and annual reviews, ensuring timely submission of required documentation (e.g., service notes, progress reports, plan revisions).
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all sessions, observations, and communications in accordance with HHSC, CLASS, and HCS program regulations.
- Uphold Medicaid compliance and client confidentiality (HIPAA).
- Respond promptly to requests from service coordinators, case managers, or guardians related to behavioral programming or crisis support.
Client-Centered Support
- Model compassionate, trauma-informed, and person-centered behavior interventions.
- Develop skill-building programs that enhance adaptive functioning, communication, and self-regulation.
- Provide ongoing caregiver training to promote generalization of skills and behavior management strategies across environments.
Qualifications:
- Required: Current certification as a BCBA or BCaBA through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Must meet Texas Medicaid Waiver requirements to provide Behavior Support Services (HCS and/or CLASS).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the Houston and surrounding area.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high professional standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with HHSC documentation, service delivery requirements, and electronic data systems preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience working with adults, particularly those with autism or developmental disabilities, is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavioral health principles, patient care techniques, and patient assessment methods is essential.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and intake procedures is preferred.
- A strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and strategies is required.
