Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Professional (MHP) to join our Intensive Residential Treatment (IRT) team. This role provides ongoing clinical support to adults with serious mental illness living in residential care settings.

Unlike traditional outpatient therapy roles, the MHP functions as a stabilization-focused clinical support professional, helping clients maintain progress, reinforce treatment goals, and enhance long-term outcomes through consistent, team-based care. This position offers a structured weekday schedule, a collaborative clinical environment, and meaningful work with high-impact populations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing, in-person clinical support to adults with serious mental illness
  • Develop, implement, and review initial and ongoing treatment plans in collaboration with the IRT team
  • Complete aftercare and discharge planning documentation to support continuity of care
  • Participate in weekly multidisciplinary clinical staffing and care coordination
  • Collaborate closely with peer support specialists, nurses, prescribers, SUD professionals, and residential facility staff
  • Monitor client stability and communicate clinical concerns through established team protocols
  • Deliver services onsite at scheduled residential facilities within the local service area
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards

Skills & Qualifications

  • Meets Washington State Mental Health Professional (MHP) criteria
  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health–related field
  • Ability to qualify for a WA State credential (Agency Affiliated Counselor or associate license) if not licensed
  • Experience or interest in working with adults with serious mental illness
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to function effectively in a team-based, non-isolated clinical role
  • Comfort working in residential or community-based care settings
  • Reliable transportation for local travel

Additional Information & Employment Disclaimer

  • This position is conditional upon successful completion of a Washington State Department of Health (DOH) background check, as required for behavioral health providers.
  • A prior criminal history does not automatically disqualify an applicant from employment. Each background review is evaluated individually, in accordance with DOH regulations, position responsibilities, and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • No weekends, evenings, on-call duties, or telehealth
  • Mileage reimbursed at $0.70 per mile, paid monthly (calculated to and from the clinic)
  • Paid clinical supervision provided when applicable
  • Supportive, mission-driven organization focused on preventative, relationship-based care
