Job Summary:
The Community Liaison will serve as a bridge between the Student Connection & Engagement Center and the campus community by promoting involvement opportunities, supporting student organizations, and assisting with outreach initiatives. This role helps foster collaboration, encourages student participation in programs, and strengthens connections across campus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Principal Responsibilities
- Promote SCEC programs, initiatives, and resources to the campus community.
- Serve as a point of contact between student organizations and the SCEC, helping connect groups to resources and opportunities.
- Assist with planning, promoting, and facilitating campus events and involvement initiatives.
- Support outreach efforts by distributing materials, making classroom announcements, and engaging with students in high-traffic areas.
- Collect feedback from students and organizations to share with SCEC staff for program improvement.
- Help manage communication channels, including bulletin boards, newsletters, and social media outreach.
- Encourage student participation in RISE Network organizations, Pathway to Engagement, Pawprints to Connection, and the Dimension Challenge.
- Represent the SCEC at tabling events, fairs, and other visibility opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned
