Clinic-Based: $21.50-$27/hr

APPLE Consulting's mission is to provide all of our staff with the support, mentorship, and tools to leverage their experience and career in the autism and ABA industry.

Behavior Technician Job Duties:

  • Provide direct one-to-one ABA therapy/care for individuals with autism in clinic, school and/or community as a behavior technician
  • Provide ABA skills support in a variety of areas including but not limited to: adaptive, speech, language, communication, vocational, behavior, play, and cognitive skills
  • Data collection on individual goals and graphing
  • Implement behavior intervention plans
  • Assist in a wide variety of assessments for treatment planning purposes

Position Requirements:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent
  • Current driver's license (to be eligible for in-home services)
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Experience working with children for at least 1 year
  • CPR & First Aid Training
  • Negative tuberculosis test done within the past 60 days
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs or more

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, education, human services, or a related field
  • CBT (Certified Behavior Technician) license
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

What is PFA/SBT?

  • **Practical Functional Assessment (PFA)**: A systematic process for identifying the function(s) or purpose(s) behind a child's behavior. PFA emphasizes understanding the underlying causes of behaviors to develop effective intervention strategies tailored to individual needs.
  • **Skills-Based Treatment (SBT)**: A targeted approach focused on teaching children specific skills to replace problem behaviors. SBT emphasizes positive reinforcement and systematic teaching methods to promote skill acquisition and generalization.
