Certified Behavior Technician
Hours: 9AM - 6PM and Part-Time 2pm - 6pm
Clinic setting.
Starting Salary: $24-$29 DOE
The Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) is primarily responsible for providing direct therapeutic care to Eastside ABA clients. They operate as direct care staff members and report directly to the Clinical Director(s). They are directly accountable for the consistent implementation of all interventions prescribed in the treatment and behavior support plans created by a BCBA.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Directly implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans developed by a
- Assist in client assessments that have been designed by the supervising BCBA, when
- Collect accurate data for all behavior programs

- Be responsible for maintaining thorough knowledge and understanding of each

- Check-in with parents prior to the session and debrief afterward
- Create a plan for each session and set up an instructional environment that best
- supports the client’s learning prior to the session start time
- Take data and write session notes for each session
- Implement the programs created by your supervisor
- Address clients challenging behaviors
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
- Check schedule regularly for potential changes
- Arrive on time for scheduled sessions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Must be licensed in WA as a CBT or eligible to be licensed within 30 days of hire.
- Familiarity with electronic devices for data collection
- Successfully complete a criminal background check sexual registry check.
- Exhibit excellent public, employee, client and clinic relations skills.
- Demonstrate excellent client service under challenging conditions.
- Ability to take constructive criticism on performance as given by supervisors.
- History of making reliable decisions and effectively communicating with others.
- Ability to adhere to a set schedule and consistently on time to start sessions.
- Ability to write session notes in accordance with WA DOH and insurance guidelines
- Ability to meet deadlines for writing sessions notes and converting time sheets.
- Ability to tolerate a loud and busy environment, including loud noises, and crying.
- Ability to tolerate changes in schedule, caseload, or clients
- Willingness to check schedule for potential changes
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sit on the floor, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to self regulate and remain calm in busy and/or stressful situations
