Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in social work and or behavioral health therapy with expertise in crisis intervention, This role involves providing support to individuals and families who are facing various challenges, including those with special needs, PTSD, and other behavioral health issues. The candidate will collaborate with clients to develop effective treatment plans and facilitate positive outcomes by delivering rehabilitative services to individuals with mental health or behavioral disabilities. The goal is to improve their daily living skills and overall well-being. Professionals may work in various settings, including homes, schools, and the community, to help clients achieve greater independence and integration.
Responsibilities
- Behavioral health Therapy Client Care:
Providing individual and group counseling, skill-building activities, and support to address specific rehabilitation needs outlined in the client's Individual Rehabilitation Plan (IRP).
- Case Management:
Assessing client needs, developing and implementing IRPs, monitoring progress, and maintaining accurate documentation
Supervision and Training:
- This may include overseeing other PRP staff, delivering training, and ensuring compliance with program standards and regulations.
- Offer counseling services to adults and families, focusing on issues such as trauma, behavioral challenges, grief and emotional difficulties.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with complex needs.
- Manage cases effectively by maintaining accurate records and documentation of client progress.
- Advocate for clients with disabilities, ensuring they receive appropriate resources and support.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in social work.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling) is required, with some positions requiring a master's degree or specific certifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure as a Clinical Social Worker.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention.
- Strong case management skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of pediatric social work practices is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality in all client interactions.
- Supporting students with mental health or behavioral challenges in their educational settings.
