- Provide 1:1 and group support in the classroom, during transitions, meals, recess, and other school activities.
- Demonstrate flexibility by supporting different classrooms as assigned.
- Serve as a floater when scheduled, stepping into classrooms where coverage or additional support is needed.
- Collaborate with classroom staff to ensure smooth transitions and consistent support for students.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude when reassigned, understanding that flexibility is an essential part of meeting student and program needs.
- Follow specific prompting, reinforcement, and intervention strategies consistently across settings.
- Utilize proactive and reactive strategies to support students with challenging behaviors, including the use of de-escalation techniques as trained.
- Collect and accurately record behavior and skill acquisition data throughout the day using designated systems (e.g., paper)
- Work closely with Program Managers, BCBAs, Teachers, and other school staff to ensure consistent program implementation.
- Attend and participate in team meetings, staff training
- Communicate professionally with team members and maintain confidentiality regarding student information
- Support students in a safe and structured learning environment.
- Assist with toileting, feeding, mobility, and hygiene tasks if required by the student’s IEP or care plan.
- Monitor and respond to students’ physical and emotional needs throughout the school day.
- Maintain a calm and supportive presence during student escalations and participate in debriefs and incident documentation when applicable.
- Clean up after yourself and your students ensure the space you utilize is clean before transitioning to a new environment.
- As part of the requirements for the Behavior Technician role, you are expected to complete the 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training within ninety (90) days of your employment start date

- Move quickly on uneven terrain, play yards, and school grounds.
