Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support children with autism and other developmental disabilities
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, feeding, and other self-care skills
- Support teaching sessions that enhance communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors through engaging activities
- Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop and update care plans tailored to each child's needs
- Support behavioral health initiatives by managing behavior management strategies that promote positive reinforcement and reduce challenging behaviors
- Foster a safe, nurturing environment by demonstrating patience, understanding, and professionalism during all interactions
Requirements
- Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy or applied behavior analysis (ABA) is highly preferred
- Experience working with children, especially those with autism or developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation standards aligned with HIPAA compliance
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement care plans effectively in a compassionate manner
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to motivate and engage children in learning activities
- Familiarity with data collection methods used in behavioral health settings
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, team members, and other professionals
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with special needs

Pay: $24.87 - $27.00 per hour
