As a Victim Advocate Case Manager, you play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals who have been victims of domestic and sexual violence. This position requires a compassionate individual who is dedicated to supporting those in need during challenging times.

Essential Responsibilities include:

●Provide crisis intervention and emotional support to victims of domestic and sexual violence.

●Provide advocacy services to victims/survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Advocate for victims' needs and rights within various systems

●Assist survivors in developing safety plans.

●Provide support, information, referrals, case management, and other advocacy assistance as requested by survivors.

●Assist survivors with problem solving barriers and accessing resources. Help victims access necessary resources such as counseling, housing, and legal services

●Collaborate with law enforcement, social services, and other agencies on behalf of victims

●Provide information and education to survivors regarding domestic and sexual violence.

●Participate in shared activities which may include answering the hotline, outreach, staff meetings, trainings, and community events.

●Maintain strict victim/survivor confidentiality

QUALIFICATIONS:
● Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training and/or experience providing advocacy and crisis intervention services.

●Knowledge of trauma-informed practices

● Strong communication skills.

● Excellent organizational and time management skills.

● Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.

●Must complete 40-hour Victim Advocacy Certification Training.

●Must be able to clear a criminal background check.

Preferred Skills:

● Fluent Bilingual Spanish/English (preferred)

● Demonstrated ability in providing direct support, information and referral, crisis intervention, advocacy and education to victims/survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
●Strong crisis management skills
●Experience working with children and families
●Knowledge of behavioral health principles

●Understanding of child welfare and protective services
●Familiarity with family law and protection orders

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
