Job Summary
As a Veterinary Technician Assistant/Client Care Coordinator Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting veterinarians and front desk team members in providing medical care to animals as well as assisting clients. Your responsibilities will include handling and caring for animals both during exams as well as in treatment in the hospital, assisting the veterinarians with exams, answering phones, booking appointments, assisting the veterinary technicians with various tasks and ensuring the well-being of the animals under your care.
- Duties
- - Utilize veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with the veterinary team- Provide compassionate pet care and support to animals in various states of health- Assist with dental procedures and understand dental terminology- Apply knowledge of animal husbandry practices to ensure animal welfare- Demonstrate proficiency in animal restraint techniques- Conduct animal catheterization under supervision- Assist in laboratory procedures and sample processing- Support veterinarians in various medical and technical tasks- Performing radiographs- Perform pet grooming tasks as needed
- -Assist client care coordinators with answering telephones, communicating with clients (in person, via telephone, e-mail and text), booking appointments, guiding clients and their pets into exam rooms
- Experience
- Experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is advantageous
- Proficiency in veterinary terminology and procedures
- Compassion, multi-tasking and exceptional customer service skills a MUST
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- - Flexibility to fill in for team members during vacations and sick time required

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 37 per week
