Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting students' mental health, behavioral development, and academic success. This position involves conducting psychological assessments, developing intervention strategies, and collaborating with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to create a safe and supportive learning environment. The School Psychologist will utilize their expertise in child development, special education, and behavioral health to promote positive outcomes for students with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities and autism. This role is essential in fostering inclusive education and ensuring compliance with educational and psychological standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological testing and diagnostic evaluations to assess student needs and abilities.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other specialists.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on emotional regulation, social skills, and behavioral management.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies and develop safety plans for students experiencing mental health crises or behavioral challenges.
- Support students with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and other special needs through tailored interventions.
- Assist in early intervention programs by conducting intake assessments and monitoring progress over time.
- Collaborate with educators to modify classroom strategies and behavior management techniques aligned with best practices such as applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, psychological records, and reports in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Offer training and consultation to school staff on behavioral health topics, conflict management, social work practices, and crisis management.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate services for students requiring additional support.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid state certification/license as a School Psychologist or equivalent credential.
- Experience working with children in educational settings, including special education environments.
- Strong knowledge of child & family counseling, crisis intervention, behavioral health strategies, and medical terminology related to patient care.
- Proficiency in psychological testing, diagnostic evaluation, case management, and report writing.
- Familiarity with IEP development processes, early intervention programs, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and social work principles.
- Ability to manage conflict effectively and develop comprehensive safety plans for at-risk students.
- Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, educators, and healthcare providers.

Pay: $75.00 - $85.00 per hour
