A K-12 school in Oregon City, OR, is seeking a School Psychologist to provide critical behavioral and psychological support on a contract basis. This is a leave replacement position covering the period from December 1 to February 27, with the possibility of extension. The role involves working with two elementary schools, supporting students educational and behavioral needs through assessment and intervention.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to analyze and address student behaviors
- Perform Initial Evaluations to determine students' eligibility for special education services
- Develop and implement Behavior Support Plans (BSP) to support positive student outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to create supportive and effective learning environments
- Provide data-driven recommendations and monitor student progress
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or license in Oregon
- Experience conducting FBAs, Initial Evaluations, and developing BSPs
- Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged children and diverse populations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of K-12 educational systems, special education laws, and behavioral interventions
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time contract position, hours 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
