Anchor Behavioral Solutions is looking for a Full-time Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapist floater with a passion for working with children and youth facing developmental and moderate-to-severe behavioral challenges. ABA Therapists are responsible for the direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Under the supervision of a BCBA, ABA Therapists may also collect data and conduct certain assessments, such as stimulus preference assessments. They are not responsible for designing interventions, conducting in-depth assessments, or developing treatment plans. Tasks assigned are based on the ABA Therapist's training, experience, and competence as determined by the supervising BCBA. The designated BCBA supervisor holds ultimate responsibility for all work performed by the ABA Therapist.
The candidate must be willing to provide services in-home, at our clinic locations, and at applicable contracted school locations. The candidate must be willing to travel to the following counties: Essex, Union & Passaic.
This position requires all candidates to have a working vehicle, up-to-date vehicle documents and a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities

Provide direct behavioral services to clients in both individual and group sessions

Implement skill acquisition programs using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior Analysis (VBA)

Complete weekly program updates and maintain accurate client program records

Collaborate with BCBAs and/or BCaBAs to carry out individualized treatment plans
-
Collect and graph data as instructed using Rethink Behavioral Health software
-
Maintain respect, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times
-
Attend educational workshops, review professional publications, and participate in relevant professional networks to maintain technical knowledge
Ensure client safety and respond appropriately during emergency or crisis situations -
Perform other duties as assigned by the BCBA or agency administrators

A suitable Floater must have flexible, open availability, as hours can possibly be altered at a moment's notice. Anchor Behavioral Solutions guarantees a minimum of 30 hours per week, so long as candidates keep their availability as follows:
Floaters must also be able to flex start and end time of availability by 2 hours with advance notice.
Floaters must be willing and able to travel within a 45-minute radius when needed.

Education, Training, and Experience

Must be at least 18 years of age

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Special Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred

Additional certifications preferred (in the State of New Jersey) as a:

Special Education Teacher

School Social Worker
-
School Psychologist
-
Minimum of 1 year experience working with children, adolescents, or adults with special needs

Must possess basic technology skills and have consistent access to a mobile device or computer for job-related tasks
Other Requirements

Successful completion of fingerprinting and criminal history background check
