Field Service Coordinator (Work Preparator) – West Jordan, UT

Position Overview
We are seeking a Field Service Coordinator (Work Preparator) to support operations at a Jenbacher gas-engine power plant located in West Jordan, UT. This role ensures smooth planning, preparation, and coordination of all service activities related to Jenbacher gas engines and associated auxiliary equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and order all parts, consumables, tools, and third-party services required to execute maintenance and service events.
Serve as the primary assistant and representative to the Field Service Staff Manager (Plant Manager).
Communicate proactively and professionally with customers, providing excellent support and follow-up.
Identify technical requirements for upcoming service work and ensure timely procurement through approved vendors.
Manage materials and third-party resources efficiently and cost-effectively.
Update Bills of Materials (BOM) after service events and maintain accurate documentation within the ERP system (Oracle).
Prepare and maintain all required technical and commercial documentation related to field operations.
Ensure compliance with company quality and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) standards for both internal and external teams.
Support Field Service Technicians to ensure adherence to business and process standards.
Assist with EHS initiatives such as safety audits, reporting observations, and addressing issues as they arise.
Review service reports for any unplanned activities and ensure proper documentation and resolution.
Recommend process improvements to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
Track and help achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) for the service department.
Request and manage quotes for transactional services as needed.
Upload and manage service-related data including purchase orders, budgets, and reports.
Oversee inventory and maintenance of service tooling for on-site operations.
Supervise warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, and cycle counts.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, paired with relevant technical or business experience.
Strong understanding of service preparation processes and parts coordination across multiple product variants.
Experience managing customer needs and providing effective service communication.
Working knowledge of reciprocating engines is a plus.
Proven customer service and communication skills.
Several years of experience supporting technical supervisors or coordinating field service events.
Proficiency with Oracle ERP, Microsoft Office Suite, and technical databases.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Salt Lake City area.

Full-time, on-site position at the power plant or Jenbacher regional office in West Jordan, UT.
