**Job Summary:**

This position is for afternoons Monday-Sunday after school (3-5 pm).

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care and therapy to children and individuals with special needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health and a strong foundation in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a positive impact on the lives of our clients.

**Responsibilities:**

- Conduct patient assessments to identify behavioral and cognitive needs.

- Implement and monitor behavioral therapy plans, including ABA techniques, to address specific behavioral challenges.

- Collect and record data on client behavior, progress, and treatment outcomes.

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.

- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

- Develop and adapt behavioral interventions based on client needs and progress.

- Work with clients in various settings, including schools and home environments.

- Implement strategies to promote social, emotional, and behavioral growth and development.

- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health.

**Experience:**

- Experience working with children and individuals with special needs, including those with autism, ADHD, or other developmental disabilities.

- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.

- Experience in behavioral health, special education, or a related field.

- Proven ability to collect and analyze data, including observational and behavioral data.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality principles.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as behavioral science, special education, or psychology.

**Skills:**

- Patient assessment and behavioral intervention skills.

- Experience with medical records and data collection.

- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and ABA techniques.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.

- Experience working with children, including those with special needs.

- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality principles.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Experience with behavioral health software and electronic medical records systems.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.

- Experience in a behavioral health or special education setting.

- Special education certification or licensure, if applicable.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
