The SOAR Program exists to impact youth Kindergarten-8th Grade in our program to excel academically, be challenged to grow mentally and be exposed to activities/games recreationally. We do this through a three-hour program Monday-Friday with a pool of 100 students that we have the privilege to mentor and nurture as a team so that the students can achieve more than they thought possible. We have many different classes and roles in our team with the same goal of being a special environment to expose the students of our future to something that will be great for them. Expectations:

· Experience working with youth (Required)

· Vibrant personality equipped with a large amount of skills that can help lead a class of 20-25 students. Some of these skills will include the ability to lead, great communication skills, redirecting skills for when students are distracted or unmotivated, de-escalation tactics, high order thinking, and organization skills

· Ability to plan with your team and at times the entire program to come up with creative ideas for the youth to enjoy

· Public speaking skills to command a classroom and connect with students.

· Classroom management skills such as creativity, skills in running an activity, time management, team-oriented mentality and flexibility

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
