This position will work in Polk and Jasper counties.

HCBS Coordinator is responsible for the design and coordination of HCBS services provided by Progress Industries. This includes responsibility for the operation oversight of the locations and person served caseloads managed by the HCBS Managers. Program responsibilities include 24-hour services in Jasper and Polk Counties.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and guide cohesive management teams that demonstrate best practice in quality and agency, regulatory, and accreditation compliance, with special emphasis on the collaborative and cooperative work of manager-program manager team for the benefit of persons served.
- Responsible for the supervision and support of assigned Managers. Meet in-person with them on a regular basis to empower them to produce positive outcomes and high-quality services for persons served.
- Meet with teams on a regular basis to empower them to produce positive outcomes for persons served and high-quality services, marked by excellent communication, direction, feedback, support, and teamwork.
- Assist in coordination of all internal audits.
- Responsible to read, be familiar with, and train direct support staff in HCBS regulations regularly and assure 20 outcomes are present for each person served.
The above responsibilities are not comprehensive and may evolve to reflect the changing needs of the program.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- One of the following qualifications must be met: a) A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the social or behavioral sciences and one-year post-degree experience in the delivery, planning, coordination or administration of human services, b) A high school degree (or its equivalent) and five years post-degree experience in the areas outlines in #1, and c) A combination of post high school education or experience as outlined in #2a totaling five years. At least one year must be experience.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and quick decision-making when the situation requires.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with others.
- Possess "leadership ability" as it relates to supervision and training of staff.
- Ability to be creative and aggressive in setting up "program of training" for the person served.
- Maintain a valid Iowa Driver’s License with a good driving record, and a private automobile used to carry out job duties. Hold adequate liability insurance (required: $100,000/$300,000/$50,000).
- Be available for on-call assistance when emergencies arise at assigned sites. Have current phone numbers listed and available to staff for emergency situations.
- Attend all mandatory training required of this position.
