Job Description:

Genie Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a 13-week contract with a reputable Home Health agency in South Lake Tahoe, California.

This role is ideal for LCSWs who are passionate about patient-centered care, comfortable working in the field, and looking to make a meaningful impact in a scenic and supportive community setting.

Compensation:

• Hourly Pay: $70/hour
• Weekly direct deposit
• Full-time schedule with consistent weekday hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-home psychosocial assessments for patients and families
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide counseling, emotional support, and crisis intervention as needed
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
• Educate patients and families on community resources and post-care options
• Assist with discharge planning and follow-up
• Accurately document and maintain patient records in the EMR system
• Ensure compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications:

Education:

• Master’s in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a clinical social worker
• Home Health and/or Hospice experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Proficient computer skills for documentation and EMR usage
• Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and ability to work independently
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments with sound decision-making
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage regulatory paperwork

Certifications/Licensure:

• Current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association – BLS for Healthcare Provider) or ability to obtain before start
• Current LCSW license in CA required
• Current LCSW license in NV required
• Valid California or Nevada driver’s license (based on residence) or ability to obtain prior to start
• Current vehicle insurance

• Schedule: Monday–Friday (occasional weekends as needed)
• Start Date: ASAP
