- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients who exhibit evidence the full range of disorders described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition.
- Conduct psychological assessment of patients with a wide variety of known or suspected psychological disorders that affect intellectual, cognitive, behavioral or emotional functioning.
- Provide individual and group short-term therapy sessions, including psychoeducational sessions.
- Consult and provide opinions to other health professionals on various topics related to the psychology of the patient.
- Perform psychotherapeutic intervention or environmental modification based on scientific, evidence-based practice.
- Oversee, administer, and interpret appropriate psychological tests.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
