Under general professional and administrative guidance and supervision and with latitude for independent professional judgment, the Counselor functions as a member of the inter-disciplinary staff to create, implement, and maintain a structured residential program for adolescent females in residence at the Santa Lucia Program. The Counselor works closely with the Supervisor and therapists to develop, implement, and evaluate the provision of individual, group, family, and supportive counseling services in accordance with the client’s plan for treatment and the approved Plan for Program Activities and Treatment Services. The Counselor assures that the health and daily living needs of each client is met and promotes the maintenance of a safe and sanitary environment within the residential facility.
A BA is required. If no BA, must have two years of experience working with adolescents.
A background check is required prior to starting work.
