About Job
Physician shall lead and direct a Psychiatry Residency Program (the Residency Program)
by devoting principal effort to management, administration, teaching, clinical care, and
research. Duties and responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide leadership and direction for the Psychiatry Residency Program, ensuring excellence in education, clinical training, and research.
- Oversee all aspects of program administration, including faculty supervision, resident recruitment, curriculum development, and accreditation compliance.
- Recruit, develop, and evaluate faculty and residents, fostering a culture of professionalism, scholarship, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements and maintain full program accreditation.
- Provide mentorship, evaluation, and feedback to residents, supporting their progress toward board certification and professional development.
- Coordinate educational activities with affiliated institutions and collaborate with other program directors and institutional leaders on strategic and operational initiatives.
- Serve as a role model in patient care, teaching, and professionalism, maintaining clinical practice and board certification in Psychiatry.
- Promote and participate in faculty and resident research, scholarly activity, and quality improvement projects.
- Contribute to institutional committees, planning, and budgeting as related to graduate medical education.
- Perform other related duties as needed to advance the program’s mission and objectives.
