Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team in the Denton, TX area. In this part-time role, you will support the academic, behavioral, and emotional success of students through assessments, counseling, and collaboration with educational staff.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to identify students learning and behavioral needs
Develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
Provide individual and group counseling services to support students mental health and social-emotional growth
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop effective support strategies
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings
Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with state and district policies
Offer consultation and professional development to staff on best practices for supporting student well-being
Requirements
Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
Valid Texas licensure/certification as a School Psychologist (LSSP)
Experience conducting evaluations and writing psychological reports
Strong understanding of special education laws and procedures
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative educational team
