Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support and resources to individuals and families facing various challenges. This role involves assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and advocating for clients in various settings, including healthcare, community organizations, and social service agencies.

Duties

• Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
• Provide counseling services to individuals dealing with addiction, mental health issues, or family dynamics.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations to coordinate services for clients.
• Advocate for clients' rights and access to necessary resources such as housing assistance (including Section 8), healthcare (Medicare), and educational support.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to assist clients in emergency situations.
• Facilitate group sessions or workshops focused on behavioral health topics and life skills development.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in accordance with agency policies.
• Mentor clients through challenging situations, fostering resilience and self-sufficiency.

Skills

• Strong understanding of social work principles and practices.
• Experience in addiction counseling and knowledge of related resources.
• Familiarity with child welfare systems and best practices in child protection.
• Proficient in crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
• Ability to utilize motivational interviewing techniques effectively to encourage client engagement.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
