A high school social worker position is available for a leave contract in Joliet, IL. This role focuses on providing critical social support services within a school environment to promote student well-being, academic success, and positive social development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Connect students and families with community resources and support services.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district policies.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Licensed or certified social worker with experience in school settings.
  • Strong understanding of adolescent development and mental health issues.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of resources available in the community.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.

Location:

  • Position based in Joliet, Illinois, serving a high school population.

Contract Details:

  • Leave replacement role; contract duration as specified by assignment.
