Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An elementary school is seeking a full-time social worker to support students from kindergarten through fifth grade. This role is a contract position for the current school year and requires on-site work. The school serves a diverse community and operates as a Title 1 institution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide social work services to students, including assessment, counseling, and intervention
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement behavior support plans (FBA/BIP)
• Address social, emotional, and behavioral needs while promoting a positive school climate
• Participate in team meetings alongside two other full-time social workers within the school
• Support bilingual students (preferred but not required)

Qualifications:

• Licensed social worker with experience in school settings, particularly elementary schools
• Knowledge and experience in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
• Ability to work effectively in person within a K-5 environment
• Bilingual candidates are preferred to better meet the needs of the student population

Location:

• Elementary school campus in Carpentersville, Illinois

Schedule:

• Full-time, 35 hours per week
• 7 hours per day, 5 days a week
