Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC)

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated CADC Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health and behavioral health counseling, with a focus on providing support to individuals and families facing various challenges. This role requires a commitment to fostering a safe and supportive environment for clients while utilizing evidence-based practices to facilitate their growth and recovery.
Duties
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address mental health and behavioral issues.
- Utilize techniques such as psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy to support client progress.
- Assess client needs through comprehensive intake evaluations and diagnostic assessments.
- Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate crisis intervention strategies and case management.
- Provide crisis management support during critical situations, ensuring client safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care, including home and community care experiences.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient records, treatment notes, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in research activities to stay updated on best practices in addiction counseling, PTSD care, and behavioral therapy.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on addiction medicine, behavioral health, and mental health counseling.
- Implement behavior management strategies tailored to individual client needs.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Licensure or certification as required by state regulations for clinical counseling or social work.
- Experience in crisis intervention, patient assessment, and case management is essential.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis and behavioral therapy techniques is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
