Exodus Recovery, Inc is looking to hire a full-time Area Manager for our UMCR program located in Los Angeles, CA.

Job Summary:

The Unarmed Model of Crisis Response (UMCR) is a 24/7/365 pilot program through the City of Los Angeles that deploys trained teams to address non-urgent 9-1-1 calls for service related to mental health, substance abuse, wellbeing checks, and behavioral distress. The program was developed to ensure the protection and safety of individuals and communities affected by crises, create positive outcomes, and provide LAPD with more time to focus on traditional law enforcement efforts.

Due to the 24-hour nature of this program, the position has on-call requirements. The current Los Angeles Divisions served are Southeast and West Los Angeles.

The Area Manager directly provides supervision and guidance to the response team members. Initiates and presents positive solutions to problems. Oversees services in the field and the collection of data. The Area Manager works in conjunction with the Program Director and Exodus management to supervise and facilitate the delivery of services to include assessment, crisis community partners including law enforcement.

This position will require strong communication skills and knowledge of crisis intervention, behavioral health and risk assessment. Must possess independent and mature clinical judgment and the ability to critically assess a situation for risk and response.

Requirements:

*Licensure by the State of California as an RN, EMT-P*, LCSW*, LMFT*, LPCC, or Psychologist.

* MSW/MFT qualifies with at least two (2) years of supervisor experience.

* EMT-B qualifies with at least three (3) years of direct mental health crisis response experience and one (1) year of supervisor experience.

  • Three (3) years of clinical experience working with individuals who have a serious mental illness, substance use history and vulnerabilities of the homeless population three (3) years of work on an ambulance, including responses to individuals experiencing mental health crises.
  • Valid CA driver's license and good driving record with 3 years of driving experience. Candidate must be 21 years old or older to drive.
  • Ability to be flexible, work under pressure, and in a fast-paced environment with a high level of activity and frequent interruptions.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual candidates preferred
  • Two (2) years of experience in supervision, administrative and organizational ability
  • Current CPR certification and CPI or comparable certification preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Operate an automobile.
  • Prolonged sitting and considerable standing/walking.
  • Lifts, pushes and/or transfers clients, supplies and/or equipment occasionally.
  • Adequate vision to perform the essential functions of the position, i.e., documentation, computer work, reading notes, minutes, etc.
  • Able to comply with standards for Management of Assaultive Behavior/CPI: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
