Education and Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of active, unrestricted Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) certification from the State of Florida.
- Prefer One year of work-related experience.
- Prefer experience working with youth.
- Prefer Master’s degree and previous experience with disadvantaged youth, particularly in a residential setting.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Broad-based knowledge of counseling techniques.
- Knowledgeable in the area of alcohol and other drugs of abuse intervention programs.
- Ability to design, develop and implement a program related to alcohol and other drugs of abuse and interventions.
- Training skills in both individual and group counseling methods.
- Good organizational skills.
- Must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to communicate effectively and relate to the trainee population.
- Position requires an ability to operate office equipment.
- Computer proficiency required.
- In addition, an individual must be able to interact with team members and maintain an effective working relationship with all facility staff and departments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $50,000.00 per year
