About Job

Overview
Foundations to Healing, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and skilled Program Facilitator to join our growing team. This role is primarily responsible for facilitating therapeutic groups and individual sessions within our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Outpatient (OP) programs, with secondary responsibilities supporting Batterer Intervention Program (BIP) and DUI services as needed.

The ideal candidate is deeply committed to person-centered care, demonstrates strong clinical skills, and practices from a trauma-informed framework. This position requires a facilitator who can create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for clients working toward recovery, accountability, and long-term positive change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate therapeutic group sessions in the IOP/OP programs, using evidence-based interventions and trauma-informed practices.
  • Provide individual counseling to assess progress, identify barriers, and develop personalized treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique strengths and goals.
  • Deliver approved curricula for IOP, OP, and, when assigned, BIP/DUI programs.
  • Conduct intake assessments to evaluate client needs, treatment readiness, and appropriate level of care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically sound documentation of sessions and progress.
  • Prepare progress reports and communicate effectively with referral sources such as courts, probation, and treatment providers.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (counselors, peer specialists, case managers, probation officers) to ensure comprehensive client support.
  • Respond appropriately to crisis situations, ensuring client safety while providing non-judgmental support.
  • Promote recovery-oriented outcomes by empowering clients to build coping strategies, accountability, and resilience.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field (required).
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Florida (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, RCSWI, RMHCI) required
  • Experience facilitating group counseling in a substance use or behavioral health setting.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and person-centered treatment approaches.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices for substance use, co-occurring disorders, and behavioral change.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and engage clients in a supportive, empowering manner.
  • Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) or substance use treatment.
  • Familiarity with Batterer Intervention Program (BIP) curriculum and state requirements.
  • Experience working with clients involved in the legal system (courts, probation, DUI programs).

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based, indoor work.
  • Occasional stooping, bending, leaning, or lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to evaluate, intervene, and document client needs.

Schedule & Salary

  • Schedule: Expected hours: 8-hour shift, Monday–Friday, with flexibility for some evenings and weekends
