About Job

Description:

About Us
We believe that a healthy smile is the gateway to confidence and well-being—and we’re looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist who shares our passion for patient care, teamwork, and excellence. At our Brooklyn practice, you’ll be part of a dynamic and compassionate dental team, working alongside dentists, dental assistants, and support staff in a state-of-the-art, patient-centered environment.

Position Overview
As a Dental Hygienist, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive dental care under the direct supervision of a licensed Dentist—as per New York State guidelines. You’ll be a valued clinical professional and a trusted educator to our patients, helping them achieve and maintain optimal oral health.

What You’ll Do

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of medical/dental histories, including medications, allergies, and periodontal status

  • Take and process digital dental radiographs (X-rays)

  • Prepare patients for treatment with professionalism and care

  • Perform oral cancer screenings and full periodontal assessments using both manual and visual techniques

  • Apply fluoride and other preventive agents to arrest decay

  • Provide occlusal sealants and complete routine prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, and polishing

  • Document all findings and treatments in the patient’s electronic dental chart

  • Assist in the diagnosis and detection of oral conditions such as caries, periodontal disease, and TMJ disorders

Patient Education & Care:

  • Deliver individualized oral hygiene instruction

  • Support patients in developing personalized oral health goals (brushing, flossing, nutrition)

  • Promote long-term dental health through education and compassionate communication

Infection Control & Safety:

  • Follow rigorous infection control protocols

  • Ensure sterilization and proper storage of instruments

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program

  • NYS Dental Hygienist License

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred

  • BCLS Certification

  • Completed NYS Infection Control Training

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient with electronic dental records and digital imaging

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or French a plus

  • Exceptional communication, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care

  • Strong team player with a professional and warm demeanor

Why Join Us?

Impactful Work: Help patients achieve better health and confidence through quality dental care
Supportive Team Culture: Work with professionals who are passionate about what they do
Modern Technology: Utilize advanced dental equipment and electronic records
Professional Growth: Ongoing opportunities for continuing education and development
