Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.


A full-time clinical position is available for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to provide essential mental health services within an elementary school setting. This contract opportunity spans the current school year (CSY) and is based in Escondido, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct counseling and therapeutic support to elementary school students and their families.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement individualized mental health plans.
  • Conduct assessments and crisis interventions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation while adhering to confidentiality policies.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student well-being.
  • Facilitate parent education and outreach initiatives as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential.
  • Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential is required.
  • Experience working with children in a school environment, preferably at the elementary level.
  • Strong understanding of child development and family dynamics.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
