Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – Emergency Department

Job Type: 13-Week Contract (with potential extension)
Shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, rotating weekends
Location: California

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join the Emergency Department care team. In this role, the LCSW will conduct psychiatric evaluations, perform psychosocial assessments, and provide trauma-related support to patients and families. The position requires strong clinical judgment, crisis intervention skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and psychosocial assessments for patients in the Emergency Department.
• Provide trauma-informed care and support services to patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans.
• Document all evaluations, assessments, and interventions accurately in the EMR system.
• Assist with crisis intervention and develop appropriate discharge or follow-up care plans.
• Serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff regarding behavioral health and psychosocial issues.

Minimum Requirements

• Active California LCSW license (must be current at time of hire).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a clinical social work setting.
• Prior experience in emergency department or psychiatric care required.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• Strong crisis intervention, communication, and clinical documentation skills.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $2,900.00 - $3,000.00 per week
