A full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is sought to provide essential social work services within an elementary school setting. This contract position, located in Lakeside, CA, requires a professional who is adept at supporting the mental health and well-being of young students throughout the academic year.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering individual and group counseling services tailored to elementary-aged children
- Conducting assessments and developing intervention strategies to address behavioral, emotional, and social challenges
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to create supportive environments conducive to student success
- Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with school policies and confidentiality regulations
- Participating in multidisciplinary meetings to advocate for and support students needs
Qualifications and experience required:
- Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential
- Possession of a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential, which is mandatory for this role
- Demonstrated experience working with elementary school populations in a school or clinical setting
- Strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with children, families, and educational staff
