With the training and guidance of the Senior Clinical Supervisor (SCS), the Clinical Supervisor (CS) develops, implements, supervises, and manages intensive in-home and center-based behavior analytic programs for children with autism spectrum disorders. With the assistance of the SCS, the CS supervises, monitors and reviews clinical assistants and behavior technicians as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

With the training and guidance of the SCS:
· Organize and conduct behaviorally-based skill assessments using various appropriate and approved instruments across a variety of settings.
· Develop program objectives and benchmarks based on the client’s present levels and needs.
· Design and recommend client specific programs, strategies, and solutions based on the client’s objectives and needs.
· Implement and oversee client’s program (which includes daily programs and targets, data collection systems, and behavior management plans) that may apply across program components.
· Assess, design and oversee the implementation of Positive Behavior Support Plans and Behavior Intervention Plans when appropriate.
· Prioritize client’s needs and ensure that the skills are sequenced and taught in a manner that is consistent with BEST’s philosophy of language and social skill development.
· Write professional, concise, data driven reports when required, that follow BCBA and APA guidelines and submit in a timely manner.
· Design programs and data collection systems for generalization and maintenance of skills.
· When appropriate, design and facilitate plans to effectively fade support services that are no longer necessary.
· Conduct and oversee the implementation of weekly parent training and weekly clinic meetings as applicable.
· Base all decisions and recommendations on data
· Monitor assigned client teams as they implement recommendations and give ongoing feedback to client team members and assigned supervisees.
· Keep thorough documentation of all program recommendations, changes, clinics, data collection, meetings, etc.
· Keep SCS informed of all scheduled meetings, updates and recommendations
· Keep parent/guardian informed of client’s progress. Explain protocols and programs to parent/guardian before implementation.
· Conduct annual reviews of assigned supervisees
· Document positive and negative feedback in employee files
· Consult SCS before each review of supervisee
· Conduct professional trainings for colleagues, peers, and subordinates as needed.
· Communicate effectively and professionally with parents, supervisors, supervisees and colleagues in person, via email, and during meetings.
· Understand and be able to apply the BACB code of conduct.
· Keep up on the current research in the area of ABA and autism.
· Update quarterly progress; write and present professional, individualized, data driven quarterly reports and graphs to the IFSP/IEP team.

· Must notify your senior clinical supervisor immediately if any of the following exist or are known:
· The client or any family member becomes sick with a communicable disease.
· Any family member is arrested for sex-related or violent offense.
· You suspect any form of child abuse on the client or minor family member – See Mandated Reporter requirements.
· You feel there are any unsafe or dangerous conditions in the household.
· If you are injured in any way or there is a possibility that the client or any family member in the household is injured because of your direct actions.
· You suspect the use, possession or cultivation of any illegal drug or narcotic in the household.
· Any emergency that occurs going to and from work or while at work including but not limited to fire, flood, vehicle accident, explosion, etc.
· Noticing and notifying team members of potential problems or materials needed
· Maintaining consistent enthusiasm, high energy, and patience during treatment sessions as measured by parent/guardian feedback and session observations.
· Effective communication and interactions with clients, and client’s families, coworkers, supervisors while giving and receiving information, and delivering appropriate feedback demonstrated through established rapport the daily treatment sessions,
· Effective teamwork measured by successful and timely completion of a task, or a project, when working within a group
· Excellent punctuality and attendance evidenced by maintenance of an exceptional record.
Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition, the individual must be punctual, have a good attendance record, and have reliable means of transportation to work.
Clinical Supervisor must:
Work Experience:
Must have a minimum of 1.5 years of full time experience working with children with ASD in an intensive program utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (DTT, direct instruction, PRT)
Education and Experience
· Must have completed a Master’s Program in a related field.
· Must have a minimum of 12 completed units in Applied Behavior Analysis
Background and Clearance
Clinical Supervisor must:
· Have Tuberculosis clearance and record of immunization to MMRV, Pertussis and Hepatitis B;
· Have a Department of Justice/Livescan fingerprint clearance; and
· Be at least 18 years of age.
Automobile
Clinical Supervisor must:
· Have a clean driving record without any major violations in the past 5 years, or cell phone violations in the past 3 years.
· No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years, and no more than 1 at-fault accident in the last 3 years.
· Have proof of comprehensive auto insurance that covers you while driving in between client’s homes.
· Have a valid California Driver’s License.
Computer Skills
Clinical Supervisor must:
· Type reports using Microsoft word and enter data while creating graphs accurately using Microsoft excel
· Possess sufficient computer and internet skills that will allow proficient and accurate use of Microsoft Office and Internet based applications.
Mathematical and Reasoning Skills
Clinical Supervisor must:
· Possess basic mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide quickly without a calculator;
· Be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format; and
· Be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where broad standardization exists.
Written and Verbal Communication and Comprehension
Clinical Supervisor must:
· Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications skills;
· Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employee;
· Read and interpret documents such as company policy manuals, clinical procedure manuals;
· Speak and present effectively to clients, parents, and individuals in the community or other employees.

Clinical Supervisor must:

Physical Demands
Clinical Supervisor must:
· Occasionally ascends/descends stairs
· Occasionally move up to 25 pounds
· Occasionally lift 50 pounds unaided
· Sit on the floor for up to three hours periods at a time while moving from a sitting (on floor) to standing position 6-12 time per hour
· Must be able to react quickly to client escape behaviors
· Must be able to run quickly to keep up with an escaping client
· Work in homes with pets
· Drive to and from 2-3 locations per day for maximum of an hour and a half at a time.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
