Job Summary
The Behavioral Health Care Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health and behavioral challenges. This position involves coordinating care, facilitating communication among healthcare providers, and ensuring that patients receive comprehensive support tailored to their needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and experience in a Mental health setting.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care by collaborating with healthcare providers, therapists
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist patients in navigating healthcare services, including referrals to specialists as needed.
- Provide administrative support within the office, including answering phones, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies.
- Educate patients about available resources and services related to behavioral health care.
Requirements
- Prior experience in Mental Health field.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Previous experience providing medical administrative support is a plus.
