Direct Support Specialist (RBT)

Imagine Supported Living Services is looking for a RBT to help provide support to a young adult with autism & behavior challenges.

IMAGINE SUPPORTED LIVING SERVICES is a non-profit agency providing individualized, consumer directed support to adults with intellectual disabilities who live in their own homes throughout Santa Cruz County. Home Support Specialists work on a one to one basis, with an adult who has a developmental disability in that person's private residence.

Shift times available:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10am-6pm. (Days can be flexible)

Responsibilities may include: providing general companionship, meal preparation, personal hygiene assistance and activity planning, assistance in participating in community and other events, assistance with completing errands and shopping, and accompanying to events, appointment and errands. A successful candidate is a highly experienced caregiver and dedicated to improving their client's quality of life.

This is an ideal job for those interested in social service fields, behavioral health, Direct Support Professionals, CNAs, home care aids, caregivers or behavior therapists, psychology, etc.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience in a related field
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Background check clearance
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability and willingness to support individuals with challenging behavior.
• Ability to; read and interpret documents, write specific reports and correspondence, apply conflict resolution skills, and to interpret written and verbal instructions if required.
• Successful training in, and use of First Aid/CPR.
• Hold current RBT certificate.

If necessary, the agency will provide CPR certification.
