About Job

BASIC FUNCTION: Coordinate counseling efforts and deliver direct services to individuals affected by domestic violence, while also carrying out supervisory responsibilities as a key member of the program’s leadership team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Contribute to the development of domestic violence services that align with program design and meet all contractual requirements.
  • Supervise assigned staff of 8, and interns in alignment with GACS and ICADV counseling standards, as well as COA best practice standards.
  • Provide training for new and existing counseling staff and assist with recruitment efforts, including interviewing and onboarding.
  • Prepare and maintain all documentation and reports required for contractual compliance and internal program needs.
  • Provide individual counseling to survivors of domestic violence. (Minimal Caseload)
  • Participate in supervisory on-call rotation and deliver crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Deliver in-service training to agency staff on relevant issues.
  • Communicate concerns, challenges, and programmatic issues to the Program Manager.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, schools, and universities to strengthen service delivery.
  • Assist GACS administration with investigations related to alleged illegal conduct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Attend all-agency and other meetings as assigned.
  • Attend required training
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field and 3-5 years’ experience in counseling survivors of sexual abuse/assault
  • LCPC or LCSW required.
  • Forty (40) hours of Domestic Violence Certification Training. (Can be obtained upon hire)
  • Forty (40) hours of Sexual Assault Certification Training. (Can be obtained upon hire)
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Sensitivity to the cultural and socio-economic characteristics of persons served.

9. Ability to work flexible hours.
