Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Psychologist position is available for the 2023-2024 school year, covering two campuses: one elementary school and one sixth-grade campus in Pasadena, TX. This is a contracted role lasting through May.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological evaluations and facilitate initial ARD (Admission, Review, Dismissal) meetings for students requiring special education services.
- Collaborate with designated ARD facilitators for annual and other review meetings.
- Work closely with the paired school psychologist assigned to each campus to support student assessment and intervention efforts.
- Support multidisciplinary teams in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide consultation to teachers, parents, and staff regarding student needs and appropriate interventions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist.
- Experience conducting psychological assessments within an elementary and early middle school setting.
- Strong knowledge of special education law, evaluation procedures, and ARD processes.
- Ability to manage multiple campuses and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
