Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals and families. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, in an office setting. The Counselor will utilize evidence-based practices to support clients in overcoming challenges related to mental health, addiction, trauma, and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and marital/family counseling sessions.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Engage in coordination of care with other healthcare professionals and community resources.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.
• Participate in clinical supervision and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Experience in psychotherapy, particularly with children and families.
• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and mental health counseling methodologies.
• Background working with individuals facing various life challenges,
• Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care protocols, and behavioral health practices.
• Experience in clinical settings such as hospitals or outpatient clinics is preferred.
• Telehealth experience is a plus for providing remote counseling services.
• Understanding of special education needs and experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or other disabilities is beneficial. We welcome applicants who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others through effective counseling strategies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
