(HCC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to providing comprehensive primary care and behavioral health services to diverse communities in Brooklyn and Queens. Position Summary

We are seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our behavioral health team as a psychotherapist / mental health therapist. This position involves providing in-person psychotherapy to clients with mental health conditions, including those with co-occurring and co-morbid disorders.

The LMSW will conduct assessments, deliver evidence-based therapy, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and develop treatment plans tailored to client needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career clinician who is passionate about direct practice and integrated behavioral health.

Duties

• Provide in-person individual psychotherapy, comprehensive patient assessments to determine mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual counseling sessions utilizing various therapeutic techniques including behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, including intake forms, progress notes, and treatment summaries in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations to identify mental health disorders and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Engage in case management activities to coordinate care with other healthcare providers and community resources.
• Support patients with various mental and behavior health issues through specialized counseling focused on the patient's needs.
• Document patient care activities in medical records while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to medical terminology standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and other professionals to enhance the overall care of patients.

Skills

• LMSW license in New York State (active)
• Master’s degree in social work from an accredited institution
• Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques and applied behavior analysis.
• Strong background in clinical counseling, assessment, intervention, and documentation.
• Experience in individual/group counseling settings.
• Ability to conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations for accurate treatment planning.
• Competence in case management processes to ensure comprehensive patient support.
• Experience in community care settings is a plus.
• Bilingual skills a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
