There is an immediate opening for a Clinical Social Worker available at the Department of Community Services in Indian Lake. This is a 35-hour per week position that has a competitive salary between $69,735 - $85,939 annually, is eligible for healthcare benefits and New York State Retirement Pension Plan with the opportunity for you to experience a whole new level of life balance in the heart of New York’s Adirondack region.

This is a professional position involving the provision of mental health to individuals served by Hamilton County’s mental health program at its clinic locations in Indian Lake, Lake Pleasant and within school settings throughout Hamilton County. This position has low caseloads and no productivity standards. Candidate chosen for the position will be given a provisional appointment, must take a civil service examination, and be in the top three scores to retain position.

Minimum Qualifications:

A.) Graduation from a regionally accredited college or university or one accredited by the New York State Board of Regents to grant degrees with a Master’s Degree in Social Work;
B.) Possession of license as a “licensed master social worker” issued by the New York State Department of Education at time of application.

NOTE: The minimum qualifications for this position are mandated under Article 154 of New York State Education Law.

Special Requirement:

Must posses a valid New York State driver’s license at time of employment and demonstrate their ability to meet the transportation needs of the job.
