This opportunity is ideal for professionals holding Texas certification as an Educational Diagnostician or School Psychologist seeking to apply their expertise in evaluating students from pre-kindergarten through middle school. The role involves working across up to three K-12 school sites on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY), with an immediate start date.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations of students to identify educational needs, preparing detailed reports to inform intervention strategies, and managing all relevant documentation such as REED (Review of Existing Evaluation Data), notices, and consent forms. As the Evaluation Specialist, you will actively participate in ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) meetings, contributing your professional assessment to guide individualized education plans.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Texas certification as an Educational Diagnostician or School Psychologist
- Experience performing evaluations within a K-12 setting, preferably focusing on PK-MS age groups
- Strong report-writing skills and familiarity with evaluation protocols and compliance documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams and families during ARD meetings
- Flexibility to serve multiple school sites as needed
Schedule & Location:
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Contract duration: Immediate start through June 1, 2016
- Location: Garland, TX area, servicing up to three school locations
