Job Summary
Summary
This position provides leadership, direction, orientation, coaching, in-service training, staff development, and continuing education programs for assigned social work staff. This position is responsible for performing social work assessments and interventions as needed for inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients.

Essential Functions
-Provide supervision to interns, LCSW's and other Staff in the absence of Manager and/or Supervisor.

-Provides psychosocial assessments of patients and families with social, emotional, interpersonal and/or environmental issues. Formulates biopsychosocial assessment, disposition, and treatment plans.

-Provides mandated assessments when abuse is suspected (child, disabled adult, elder) and specialized safety assessment when violence is suspected Plan discharge from care facility to home or other care facility.

-Collaborate with other professionals to evaluate patients' medical or physical condition and to assess client needs as part of the interdisciplinary team.

-Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in the treatment and care plan.

-Knowledgeable in therapeutic behavioral interventions, replacement skill-building strategies, crisis assessment, management, and interventions.

-Strong knowledge of HIPPA, Patient Rights & Responsibilities, Joint Commission standards, and Centers for Medicare / Medicaid regulations.

-Completes required documentation and paperwork including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning and implementation in a timely manner.

-Ability to communicate and resolve issues effectively with a broad population of patients, staff and physicians.

-Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team with a varied population of clients.

-Display strong leadership and communication skills to clearly guide peers.

Master's Degree Social Work required or Master's Degree Mental Health required

Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker [LICSW - State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Licensed Mental Health Counselor [LMHC - State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred

Experience
Clinical social work experience 5-7 years required

- Exemplifies expert depth of specialized clinical diagnoses and interventions.
- Is routinely sought out by team members for consultation on complex cases and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrates expert clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Acts as role model; mentors other staff on this skill.
- Demonstrates advanced utilization of clinical skills and interventions and consistently contributes to training and education of staff. Acts as a role model for others, mentoring and training staff in skills.
- Demonstrates highest degree of leadership, flexibility, communication, independence, and teamwork. Is expected to provide significant contributions to education, training and clinical supervision.
- Leads or actively participates in clinical practice inquiries, teaching, projects, or research demonstrating expertise and depth of knowledge of social work practice and skills.
- May participate in the recruitment, onboarding and retention processes.
- Completed LICSW/LMHC/LMFT requirements.
- Leads department/service initiatives; participates in initiatives at an Enterprise and Professional Association level.
- Uses data to define baseline issues and measure progress.
- Oversees collaboration and education among all disciplines and outside stakeholders to enhance patient care.
