A K-12 school in Redford, MI is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a contract position during the current school year (CSY). This role is essential in supporting the mental health and academic success of students by providing psychological services within the school setting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in assessments, counseling, and intervention strategies tailored to a diverse student population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student development
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to program development
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
