School Social Worker (2025-2026 School Year)

Location: Therapeutic Day School – Gages Lake, 60030

Position Type: Full-Time (with ESY Opportunity)

Salary: $55,000 – $68,000 (Based on experience)

AnthroMed Education is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced School Social Worker to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with K-12th grade students in a therapeutic day school setting that provides a highly individualized and supportive environment. You will have the chance to make a real impact by assisting students with Autism, developmental, communication, and sensory needs. The school features a structured, 1:1 student-teacher ratio, allowing for personalized care and educational support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide social work services to students with Autism, developmental, communication deficits, and sensory needs.

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support students' social-emotional development and mental health.

  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies.

  • Lead and facilitate social skills groups for small groups of students (6-8 students per class).

  • Assess and address students' behavioral and emotional challenges in a supportive and therapeutic manner.

  • Act as a liaison between the school, families, and external support services to ensure the holistic well-being of students.

  • Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution when necessary.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school policies and legal requirements.

Work Hours:

  • Full-Time, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM

  • 7.5-hour workday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field

  • PEL licensure

  • Experience working with students with Autism, developmental disabilities, communication challenges, and sensory needs preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

  • Compassionate, patient, and solution-focused approach to supporting students

  • Experience in a therapeutic or specialized educational setting is a plus

Additional Opportunity (ESY)

There is an opportunity to work during the Extended School Year (ESY) program for the 2025-2026 school year. This provides additional support for students during the summer months, continuing the work in a highly structured and individualized environment.
