when filled Job Summary: The Behavior Intervention Specialist will provide support to students, educational teams and families of students with significant behavioral deficits associated with Autism, Emotional Disorders, Health Impairments and other disabilities that may impede the student's ability to function in the school setting.
Qualifications:
Working Conditions: The Behavior Intervention Specialist will work in Special Education Cooperative programs as well as provide consultation to district special education and general education students and staff as requested.

Qualifications:
- Hold a registered, valid Illinois LBS I / Professional Educator License.
- BCBA or LBS II - Behavior Intervention Specialist preferred .
- Extensive experience working with students with autism, intellectual disabilities, social emotional disabilities, and other related disabilities that require a highly structured classroom environment with an emphasis on behavior management, language enrichment and intensive sensory supports.
- Demonstrated skill in providing effective consultation to classroom personnel.
