Job Summary

We’re seeking Peer Support Specialists to join our team and help individuals navigate challenges by sharing lived experiences, fostering trust, and connecting clients to the services they need. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in their community.Provide crisis intervention and management services to clients in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide peer-based support, guidance, and mentorship to clients.
  • Help clients set goals and connect to appropriate community resources.
  • Advocate for client needs and promote self-advocacy skills.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
  • Document interactions and progress in compliance with program requirements.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Peer Specialist or Peer Advocate (NYCPS, YPA).
  • Personal lived experience navigating mental health, substance use, or related systems, with a commitment to recovery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Familiarity with NYC-based community resources is a plus.
