Anchor Behavioral Solutions is seeking a Clinical Director: Behavior Support Staff Development to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive training programs for Behavior Analysts (BAs), Behavior Technicians (BTs), and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). This role is focused on enhancing staff capabilities to support individuals with severe problem behaviors across diverse service settings. The Clinical Director will not be responsible for direct implementation or behavior plan development, but will instead evaluate service needs and ensure personnel are equipped with the necessary skills to deliver quality support. Success will be evaluated based on measurable staff performance improvements and overall client outcomes.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement training programs for BAs, BTs, and support staff (DSPs) based on real client challenges.
Deliver hands-on training and coaching in classroom, office, and field settings.
Observe and assess staff performance during in-person, virtual, or recorded client interactions, and provide follow-up feedback to drive improvement.
Collaborate with management and cross-functional departments to ensure consistent training standards.
Create or enhance classroom-based training presentations and workshops to align with staff development goals.
Develop specialized training programs for BTs and BAs that enable them to train DSPs effectively.
Design and deliver training based on the needs of support staff and the challenges presented by clients.
Split time between in-office/classroom (50%) and field settings (50%), including schools, day programs, private homes, group homes, and supervised apartments.
Partner with Recruiting and Operations Management to identify, onboard, and train high-performing behavior support personnel.Evaluate client service needs and compare them to staff competencies to identify training needs and implement targeted improvements.
Achieve certification as a Safe Crisis Management Trainer (Anchor-sponsored).

Involves a hybrid work model:
Office (50%): Admin office in West Orange or future operations office in Clifton
Field (50%): Service locations such as day programs and community-based settings
Eligible for mileage reimbursement or company vehicle use (as available)
Preferred Availability
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Some evening and weekend availability required to meet training and support needs
Flexibility in schedule with supervisor approval
Qualifications
Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with active liability insurance (if applicable)
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience as a BCBA (preferred)
Experience with clients exhibiting severe problem behaviors
Experience in diverse service settings including schools, group homes, day programs, and private residences
Familiarity with DDD behavior support requirements
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) expertise
Experience with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and Developmental Disabilities
Experience with both children and adults (strongly preferred)
Strong knowledge of the roles and functions of DSPs, BTs, and BCBAs within a training framework
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats
Experience developing adult education and training curriculum
Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel
Preferred Skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to adapt training approaches based on audience, environment, and organizational needs
