About Job

Anchor Behavioral Solutions is seeking a Clinical Director: Behavior Support Staff Development to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive training programs for Behavior Analysts (BAs), Behavior Technicians (BTs), and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). This role is focused on enhancing staff capabilities to support individuals with severe problem behaviors across diverse service settings. The Clinical Director will not be responsible for direct implementation or behavior plan development, but will instead evaluate service needs and ensure personnel are equipped with the necessary skills to deliver quality support. Success will be evaluated based on measurable staff performance improvements and overall client outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement training programs for BAs, BTs, and support staff (DSPs) based on real client challenges.

  • Deliver hands-on training and coaching in classroom, office, and field settings.

  • Observe and assess staff performance during in-person, virtual, or recorded client interactions, and provide follow-up feedback to drive improvement.

  • Collaborate with management and cross-functional departments to ensure consistent training standards.

  • Create or enhance classroom-based training presentations and workshops to align with staff development goals.

  • Develop specialized training programs for BTs and BAs that enable them to train DSPs effectively.

  • Design and deliver training based on the needs of support staff and the challenges presented by clients.

  • Split time between in-office/classroom (50%) and field settings (50%), including schools, day programs, private homes, group homes, and supervised apartments.
Partner with Recruiting and Operations Management to identify, onboard, and train high-performing behavior support personnel.

  • Evaluate client service needs and compare them to staff competencies to identify training needs and implement targeted improvements.

  • Achieve certification as a Safe Crisis Management Trainer (Anchor-sponsored).
