Schedule: Full-Time, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday - Friday)

About the Position:
Cell Staff is seeking a dedicated and highly qualified MD Level Psychologist to join the team at the North Carolina Correctional Institute for Women. This is a full-time, in-person contract role offering a competitive pay rate of $80 per hour. As an ongoing contract, this position is treated like a permanent role with long-term stability, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on the mental health services for women in the correctional system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments for incarcerated women.
- Develop and implement individual treatment plans based on assessments.
- Offer individual and group therapy services to address mental health needs.
- Collaborate with medical and correctional staff to ensure integrated care for patients.
- Administer psychological testing and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
- Offer crisis intervention and manage psychological emergencies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with institutional and legal requirements.
- Serve as an expert in the field of psychology to provide guidance and support to multidisciplinary teams.
- Engage in continuous learning and stay current on best practices in correctional mental health.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree with licensure to practice as a psychologist.
- Active state licensure in North Carolina or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience in forensic or correctional psychology preferred.
- Strong understanding of mental health care within a correctional setting.
- Ability to manage high-pressure environments and complex cases.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) on-site.
